π Step-by-Step AWS Setupβ
β Step 1: Log inβ
Log in to your AWS account.
π Step 2: Open Security Credentialsβ
Search for Security credentials in the AWS Management Console, then click on
Users (IAM Features) and select Create User.
π Step 3: Set User Permissionsβ
While setting permissions, choose Attach policies directly and include the following:
π₯ Step 3.0: Download Policy JSONβ
π Download IAM Policy JSON Save this file β it will be used in the next step.
π Step 3.1: Create a Custom Policyβ
Click on Create policy β this will open a new tab.
Choose the JSON tab and paste the content from the downloaded JSON.
βοΈ Step 3.2: Name and Create Policyβ
Fill in the policy name and click Create policy at the bottom.
π Step 3.3: Attach the Created Policyβ
Go back to the original tab and search for the policy you just created.
If you canβt find it, click the refresh icon next to the Create policy button.
β Step 3.4: Choose the Following Policiesβ
- Your custom policy
- SecurityAudit
- ViewOnlyAccess
SecurityAudit
ViewOnlyAccess
π Step 3.5: Review Permission Summaryβ
Click Next, and youβll see all three policies in the Permission summary.
π€ Step 3.6: Create the Userβ
Click Create user.
π€ Step 4: Select the Created Userβ
Click on the user you just created.
π Step 5: Go to Security Credentialsβ
Click the Security credentials tab.
π Step 6: Create Access Keyβ
Scroll to Access keys and click Create access key.
π» Step 7: Select CLI Usageβ
Choose Command Line Interface (CLI).
Accept the confirmation at the bottom and continue.
π Step 8: Describe and Create Keyβ
Provide a description and click Create Access Key.
πΎ Step 9: Save Your Access Keysβ
Save both the Access key and Secret access key.
You will need them to connect AWS with Vamu via the SaaS interface.
π‘οΈ Step 10: Enable AWS Inspectorβ
Ensure AWS Inspector is active to scan for vulnerabilities.
